Calvin, AugustineAbstract
There is no doubt about Calvin’s reception of Augustine in the 16th century and his frequent use of him, more than of anyone else, in his work. There is no doubt that Augustine exerted an influence on Calvin’s writings. There can be doubt that these two ideas are necessarily related. This uncertainty is mainly due to the failure of some studies that set out to compare Calvin’s teaching with that of Augustine.Published
