Jesus furnishes his followers a ‘gift of remembrance’ by means of the Holy Communion. This article wishes to explain how there are tangent points between the narrative approach towards bereavement counseling and a fresh focus on the Holy Communion with reference to the concept re-membering. This approach ensures that the Holy Communion, like the narrative approach towards bereavement counseling may contribute to the ‘healing’ process of believers that seeks positive dominant narratives.Published
