This article will try to answer the questions on how the missionary in a reformed mission situation can lead the mission church in her current and future understanding of cooperation within a reformed bond of churches, and which role the bond of churches herself can play in leading the mission church to cooperation within the bond of churches. The missionary can do this by preaching and educating the principle of Christ’s church government from Scripture and the reformed confessions and by showing them the need for cooperation due to the characteristics (one, holy, catholic and apostolic) of the church. The bond of churches on the other hand can help the mission church by continuously inviting them to ecclesiastical assemblies. A historical situation from the Netherlands and a current situation within the Free Reformed Churches in South Africa are given as examples.Published
