Pastoral integrity Recent events caused quite a stir and an embarrasment for the pastoral profession. The consequences of conduct unbecomming by pastoral therapists not only discredit the profession, but may cause serious damage to the client, already plagued by some ailment or deep-rooted problem. Although much research has been done on professional integrity within psychotherapy, pastoral integrity is almost suggested and expected but not really defined. This article calls for the need of a code of ethics in order to sustain pastoral integrity.Published
