In this article it is argued that small groups became a definite part of the ministering to the church of Jesus Christ. This ministry should be accompanied by a church growth programme which should enhance the spirituality also of the small groups in the church in different ways like the worship service, preaching, catechism, camps and retraites. Connected to this should be the equipping, development of and caring for the small group leader by using ways of enriching his/her gifts, in-service training and growth in personal spirituality.Published
